Baby Booder

Ann Arbor underground hip hop · artist, songwriter, producer

Baby Booder is Ann Arbor artist and producer Daijon T. Munson, releasing independently through his company Substance Controlled. He started writing at seven, put music out at eleven, and has built a deep underground catalog of projects including the P O I N T E series and Raw Tapes. His records lean reflective and hard-edged: home-studio hip hop with tight drums, personal storytelling, and a clear Southeast Michigan stamp. Beyond the music, he has worked with Ann Arbor’s Neutral Zone youth nonprofit and My Brother’s Keeper Washtenaw. Latest drop is Raw Tapes I-VI (August 2026). "In “Champion,” Baby Booder writes a powerful, personal song that is both realistic and optimistic about what lies ahead." — The Strive Magazine
